Greetings to you all! I am Michael Keung, a Form Five student from Lok Sin Tong Leung Kau Kui College. I am wholeheartedly grateful to the Honorary Advisors, Advisors and my fellow OSArs for their continued support, and it is with great honour that I have accepted this chance to contribute to the Association, as this year’s Social Services Officer.
HKOSA brings me a lot of irreplaceable memories, and it is within the Association’s networks that I have met many new friends and improved myself in various arenas. The Assessment Camp was certainly very impressive – it showed me that HKOSA is about bringing the best out of everyone, instead of revolving around only the most academically-able students. In addition, HKOSA has made me realise that walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light. Thus, being part of this wonderful Association has proven to be one of the most invaluable experiences of my life.
It is said that one learns best by doing. And now I can learn best by looking up to those who are really outstanding. Even though this year’s Annual General Meeting has seen much fewer Executive Committee candidates come forward, our passion will never be lost. I believe everyone in our Association’s family will continue to strive for the best.
In the coming year, we are bound to face lots of challenges. But I am sure that with understanding, forgiveness, cooperation, tolerance and thoughtfulness, we can overcome these difficulties – and I look forward to a successful year for the Twenty Fifth Executive Committee of HKOSA!
