Greetings to you all! This is Nicholas Poon, a Form Five student studying at Ying Wa College. It is my greatest honour to be elected as the President of the Twenty Fifth Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Outstanding Students’ Association.

Looking back, I knew little about HKOSA. Until I was nominated by my school to compete in the Hong Kong Outstanding Students Awards, I had never imagined I would be fortunate enough to join the miraculous and loving HKOSA family. Everything was like a dream.

As the HKOSA President at this critical juncture, I realise that the coming years will be filled with challenges unprecedented in the history of the Association – most notably the introduction of the HKDSE. However, I firmly believe that the Twenty Fifth Executive Committee will work excellently as a team. Together with the support of our fellow OSArs and friends, we are more than confident of being able to lead HKOSA through yet another remarkable year, to overcome these obstacles, and to bring more students in Hong Kong together within the framework of our wonderful Association.

Bearing this year’s theme ‘Educate. Innovate. A new decade.’, I, along with my fellow Executive Committee members, will not only pass on HKOSA’s spirit, but also bring more educational and innovative first-hand experiences to our activities’ participants. We are ready to be the light that guides them through the darkness, to let them be the adventurers that they are, deep inside.

Good projects will only become meaningful when executed by a united team of capable and devoted people. With my utmost effort, I will lead my fellow Executive Committee members, in furthering the Association’s status as one of the leading student organisations in Hong Kong. Together we can make bright changes and lead the Association to new heights!

I would like to take this opportunity, to express my deepest gratitude to all Honorary Advisors, Advisors and various organisations for their continued support and guidance. I would also like to thank my fellow Executive Committee members for putting their trust and faith in my leadership. Last but not least, I must thank all OSArs for their love and dedication towards HKOSA. Your passion in nurturing the younger generation is heartening to us all. We look forward to further cooperating with you.

The Twenty Fifth Executive Committee, six-in-one, looks forward to yet another fruitful year for the Association. As we celebrate its 25th anniversary, let us all anticipate with excitement as another shining page in the Association’s history unfolds!
